Permissions
Overnight Permission
If your student is planning to stay off campus overnight the evening of Prom, we ask that they submit and have their Orah sign-out request endorsed by April 1st. This is to ensure we have time to confirm student plans and approve their passes.
Students MUST include the exact address where they are staying, and the full name of the person signing them out (Ex: "Air BnB with Family Friend" will not suffice. "1234 Durham Street with Rob Roberts" is appropriate).
No concessions may be made if this date is missed.
Vehicle Permission
Prom is a special occasion with unique travel requirements. Recognizing these unique needs, students are allowed to have an automobile on campus. We ask that students complete a Vehicle Permission Form by March 19th if they live more than an hour away from campus, and March 26th for students who live less than an hour away from campus.
No concessions may be made if this date is missed.
Students are NOT required to bring a vehicle to attend Prom.
NCSSM buses and vans will transport students to local restaurants starting at 5:00 PM.
Loops will run between Museum of Life and Science and NCSSM from 7:45 PM until the end of the event.
Students do not need special permission to ride an NCSSM loop.

regarding student vehicles
Please discuss with your student which means of transportation is appropriate for them to attend Prom and to participate in related activities.
Students must have a Prom ticket purchased in their name to have a vehicle on campus.
Students must fill out a Vehicle Permission Form and confirm it by phone or in person at the Bryan CC Office. The Vehicle Permission Form is due on Wednesday, March 19th for students who live more than an hour away, and Wednesday, March 26th for students who live less than an hour away.
Event parking will be available at the Museum of Life and Science on the night of Prom.
When students return from Prom, they will turn their keys back in to the Bryan CC Office by 12:30 AM.
If accommodations are necessary regarding student cars and parking, please contact Brian Wiggs - Please be aware that not all accommodations are able to be honored.
When you may bring your vehicle to campus depends on how far away you live:
Students that live MORE THAN ONE HOUR away from NCSSM may bring their car to campus starting Monday, March 24th. Cars must be returned by Friday, April 11th.
Students that live LESS THAN ONE HOUR away from NCSSM may bring their car to campus on Friday, April 4th. Cars must be returned home by Sunday, April 6th.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE ON CAMPUS WITH YOUR VEHICLE:
Park in the far end of the lower Bryan parking lot near Broad St.
Bring your car keys and license plate number to the Bryan CC Office, where a CC on Duty will collect your key and provide you with a receipt.
The key will be sealed and stored in a locked area with Campus Safety & Security until you check it out the day of Prom, April 5th, beginning at 10:00 AM.
